Dear outgoing 2F,
It's time to close the year, and close this blog as we make way for the 2010 class who will assume their 2F cyberspace.
I hope you have had a wonderfully refreshing vacation and you are all ready to be back in school in 5 days' time.
Some of you will need some time to adjust being away from your good friends in different classes while others may very soon happily become fast friends with your new classmates. Either way, please be understanding, do take time to meet your ex-classmates during recess if they so beseech. At the same time, for those who are clinging on to your previous classmates, do not deprive your new classmates of the privilege to get to know you too. Remember, eventually, you will not lose your friends but make more friends in addition to those from the previous class!
Some back-to-school reminders :
1. Pack your 3A books, making sure that your name is written on each book/file.
2. Ensure your pencil case is functional.(don't forget the eraser!)
3. Place a working thermometer in your bag, a daily requirement!
4. Report at the basketball court, ready for Chinese silent reading.
5. Check that your hair is neat, uniform and shoes are presentable. (there is still time for a haircut.)
6. Greet your teachers, ex-teachers and friends :)
Most of your ceramics masterpieces are still with me, which I will pass you through your new class teachers. I also owe Aaron a cars magnet set which is still out of stock at the store when I last checked today. I have not forgotten. Will KIV.
Lastly, really missing you and want to wish all of you a fabulous year ahead, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope to hear encouraging reports from your new teachers...hee hee, will still keep tabs on you.
Your soon-to-be ex-teacher,
Mrs. Loo, signing off finally.
What is a Friend?

Mini-Olympians : 2F pupils are winners!
The pupils were really put to the test during the mini-olympics games and the 2F pupils realised that brains and brawn were both needed to overcome the obstacles and challenges!

Listening attentively as the older pupil explained the objective and rules of the game. Mr. Chik (Shaun's dad) helped to lead one of the groups. Thank you!
Mr. Yip (Bryan's dad) really supported the teams with his advice. He was really proactive and was a great help :)
Kai Ray is truly racking his brains over this...and it's written all over this face.
Lots of teamwork going on here, some barking out commands, some executing, all aiming towards a common goal!
Xin Yi : How in the world can we have two feet in each hoop when we need to lift up the hoop and move it forward? Where is Tasha going to stand?
The day started at the basketball court where the P2 classes pitted their dribbling skills and beanbag throwing precision with the rest of the level. I'm proud, very proud that 2F made it to the scoreboard (reserved only for the top 3 classes) for all 3 events!!! Well done! (rousing applause)
Over at the hilltop, the pupils were divided into two groups, one group following Mr. Chik and the other, following Mr. Ng.
At one of the stations, the pupils had to move in their teams within the hoops to reach the other end of the classroom...

Are knees and hands counted?
Dave and Shermin are still trying to adhere strictly to the rules. They have four feet in the hoop in this photograph. Discussion continues...
Eureka! A bright spark pipped up,"We all simply balance on one foot!" This group got it and though they were not the first to reach the end of the classroom, in my heart, they are the champions for the day!
The dance of joy as they came through with THE solution! Btw, they were the only group that adhered strictly to the 'TWO FEET IN EACH HOOP' rule.
Another game using hoops, but this time, the pupils have to wriggle and contort their bodies to fit into the hoop at all sorts of awkward angles. How flexible are they? VERY!
Naomi and Choon Kit are moving the yellow hoop through.
I think it certainly helps that our girls have all learnt Chinese dance and 2F has the most number of girls continuing in this graceful and cultural enrichment like Rachel and Anna.
Aha! The boys have supple-ness from their gymnastics training too!
Pupils have to move from start to destination without activating any of the mines beneath. Mr. Ng (Joe's dad) really had this flock well under his care and I was much reassured with such an experienced dad around.
You can see that I watched with bated breath and my photo-taking stopped right here.
After this, the class proceeded to the basketball court for the buffet spread of mini-challenges.
Thank you, all three fabulous dads who came down in full force. I'm sure your boys will have fond memories of their dads playing such an active role in their growing up. The father-son bonding will be much stronger too, as you have a common topic about class, friends and play because you have been in the classroom with them.

You parents are so fast, before I have even sms-ed any of you, I've received feedback on the blur image that I first posted. I know the suspense has been killing.
My re-posting is still not clear...looks like I have to sharpen my IT skills. (If any of you can offer advice on how to convert an Excel file to a jpg image that is sharp, please advise.)
So, I've decided to make things clearer by presenting the information thus...
